BRIDGES AND CROSSING POINTS
BETWEEN MONTREAL AND THE SOUTH SHORE
Jacques-Cartier Bridge footbridge

A bicycle path on the west side and a sidewalk on the east side, usually open between April 1 and December 1. Closed to cyclists during special events.

Victoria Bridge footbridge
Allows cyclists to cross the river at the Saint-Lambert locks and ride on through Parc Jean-Drapeau to the Lachine Canal bicycle path. Accessible daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., between April 15 and November 15.

Sainte-Catherine footbridge
Located at the Ville de Sainte-Catherine locks, allows cyclists to cross the St. Lawrence River, then follow the Champlain Bridge ice control structure to Parc Jean-Drapeau. The bicycle link between the South Shore and Parc Jean-Drapeau is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., between April 15 and November 15.

Champlain Bridge ice control structure
The ice control structure links the riverside bike path to Nuns’ Island. Cyclists can access the ice control structure via the Nuns’ Island path, west of the Champlain Bridge viaduct and south of the Sainte-Catherine footbridge, or via the Victoria Bridge footbridge. The ice control structure is open between April 15 and November 15.

WEST ISLAND
Taschereau and Galipeau bridges
There is a bicycle path linking Vaudreuil and Île-Perrot on the south side of the Taschereau Bridge. A bicycle path on the north side of the Galipeau Bridge links Île-Perrot to the island of Montreal.

Île-Bizard
A ferry allows cyclists to get from Laval-sur-le-Lac to Île-Bizard between May and October, from 6 a.m. to midnight.

Closed to cyclists.

EASTERN ISLAND
Legardeur Bridge
Cyclists can cross the bridge linking Pointe-aux-Trembles to Repentigny via a sidewalk on the south side.

BETWEEN MONTREAL AND LAVAL
Louis-Bisson Bridge
Closed to cyclists.

Lachapelle Bridge
The sidewalks on the Lachapelle Bridge are open to cyclists and link the Cartierville neighbourhood in Montreal to Chomedey in Laval.

Île Perry railway bridge
The railway bridge footbridge, which has been widened to 2.3 metres, links the Laval-des-Rapides neighbourhood in Laval to Bordeaux in Montreal.

Viau Bridge
A bicycle path on the Viau Bridge links the Ahuntsic neighbourhood in Montreal to Pont-Viau in Laval.

Pie-IX Bridge
Cyclists can use the sidewalks on the Pie-IX Bridge to get from Montreal North to the Duvernay neighbourhood in Laval.

BETWEEN LAVAL AND THE NORTH SHORE
Grand Moulin dam
A bicycle path on the dam serves as a link between Deux-Montagnes and Laval-sur-le-Lac.

Arthur-Sauvé Bridge
The sidewalks on the bridge linking Saint-Eustache to Laval-Ouest are open to cyclists.

Marius-Dufresne Bridge
There is a bicycle path on the Marius-Dufresne Bridge linking Rosemère to the Sainte-Rose neighbourhood in Laval. Note that there are no bikeways leading to this bridge path.

Athanase-David Bridge
There is a bicycle path on the Athanase-David Bridge linking Bois-des-Filion to the Auteuil neighbourhood in Laval.
