Want to add a little relief to your bicycle outings? Head for Vermont and get a jump on spring! Up hill and down dale, this camp offers three days of training in the sublime Green Mountains.
Daily schedule: Three biking excursions of 121 to 138 km with the coaches. Short afternoon technical and practical workshops: assessment of your cycling technique; tips on how to prepare for an outing; positioning yourself on your bicycle; uphill and downhill techniques; how to replenish your energy on the road; basic and advanced techniques for cycling as part of a pack.
Prerequisites
• Must be physically fit (minimum of 6 hours of training per week).
• Able to maintain an average minimum speed of 28 km/h for at least two hours.
• Must have cycled more than 2,000 km over the last cycling season, including at least three consecutive 60-km days.
• Cycle regularly as part of a group or pack.
• Use a road or touring bicycle.
The package includes:
- 3 nights in three-star hotels, double occupancy;
- 3 breakfasts and 2 evening meals;
- round-trip bus transportation between Saint-Lambert (Montreal south shore) and Montpelier.
From 20 to 30 cyclists, accompanied by two trainers including Yannick Cojan and our guide.
Start/Finish: Saint-Lambert/Montpelier
From day to day
Route: 381 km
Day 1 - Arrival in afternoon in Saint-Lambert and bus transfer to Montpelier.
Day 2 - Montpelier, Northfield, Roxbury, Randolph, Bethel, Gaysville, Pittsfield, Rutland (121 km).
Day 3 - Looped route via North Shrewsbury, Cuttingsville, Ludlow, East Wallingford, Wallingford (122 km).
Day 4 - Rutland, Florence, Forest Dale, East Middlebury, Bristol Centre, Waitsfield, Montpelier (138 km). Bus transfer to Saint-Lambert.

Depending on the particular camp, on-road training sessions from 50 to 130 km long.

Short theoretical and practical workshops (evaluation of your cycling technique; advice on how to prepare for an outing; how to position yourself on your bicycle; techniques for climbs and descents; how to replenish your energy mid-ride; how to cycle as a member of a pack or how to be a more effective pack cyclist).
