A small Central American jewel set between two oceans, Costa Rica is home to a uniquely diverse array of ecosystems. Succumb to the charms of its picturesque peaks and contrasting landscapes, from the central valley to the volcanic mountains, from the tropical forests to the uplands, and from conservation parks to the Pacific beaches. Want to prolong your pleasure?


The package includes:
- round-trip air transportation for passenger and bicycle with Air Transat;
- 7  nights in two- to three-star hotels (double occupancy);
- 7  breakfasts and 4 evening meals;
- bus trips.

Departure tax not included ($26 US).

From 12 to 22 cyclists, accompanied by our guide and a local guide.

Start/Finish: Montréal-Trudeau/San José > San José /Montréal-Trudeau.

From day to day

Short route: 261 km • Long route: 336 km
Day 1 - Arrival in San José. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 - Transfer to Irazú volcano and visit. Biking via Pacayas, Santa Cruz, Turrialba (75 km).
Day 3 - Turrialba, Tuccurique, Orosi (50 km).
Day 4 - Transfer to San Ramon. Biking via San Lorenzo, Pocosol, La Fortuna (52 km).
Day 5 - Free day or looped route (20 or 75 km).
Day 6 - La Fortuna, Nuevo Arenal (47 km).
Day 7 - Nuevo Renal, Tilaran (37 km). Transfer to Jaco.
Day 8 - Transfer to San José airport. Return trip to Montreal.

The full-comfort packages include:
  • air transportation for passengers and their bicycles (if necessary);
  • bus, train, ferry trip and domestic flight (if necessary);
  • accommodations in two-, three- or four-star hotels, double occupancy;
  • all breakfasts and some evening meals (excluding all beverages, alcoholic or not);
  • baggage transportation (one bag per person, 15-kg maximum);
  • mechanical assistance and access to a relief vehicle;
  • daily route plans;
  • the presence of one or two experienced guides.

The prices include taxes and the $3.50 contribution per $1,000 of services purchased to the Compensation Fund for Customers of Travel Agents.

Equipment (e.g., bicycle) is not included.
