Bike trip - Cuba (Pinar del Rio Route)

Cuba is the infinitely blue sea, the soft white sand, the inimitable rhythms of the music and the warmth of the people. The Pinar del Río route takes you to the very heart of rural Cuba for an intimate encounter with the region’s many charms. Cycle on peaceful roads and experience the natural splendour of the western part of the island, the colonial charms of Havana and the hospitality of the inhabitants. Add a little sunshine to your winter!
The package includes:
- round-trip air transportation for passenger and bicycle with Cubana Airlines;
- 7 nights in three- to four-star hotels (double occupancy);
- 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches and 6 evening meals;
- bus trips.

From 12 to 22 cyclists, accompanied by our guide and a local guide.

Cuban airport tax is not included (25 convertible pesos).
Possibility of extending your stay: hotel package available for an extra fee.

Start/Finish: Montréal-Trudeau/Havana > Havana/Montréal-Trudeau.

From day to day

Short route: 76 km • Long route: 286 km
Day 1 - Arrival in Havana, bus trip to Soroa.
Day 2 - Free day or round trip to Las Terrazas (44 km).
Day 3 - Soroa, San Diego de los Baños (43 km); bus trip to Viñales.
Day 4 - Round trip to Pinar del Río (30 km + return trip by bus or 60 km) or excursion to Cayo Levisa.
Day 5 - Free day or biking to Cayo Jutias (65 km); return trip by bus.
Day 6 - Free day or looped route via Puerto Esperanza (47 km).
Day 7 - Bus trip to Havana; tour of Cueva del Indio (Indian's Cave) and cigar factory during the journey, pedestrian guided tour of Havana.
Day 8 - Bus trip to Havana airport and flight back to Montréal.

The full-comfort packages include:
  • air transportation for passengers and their bicycles (if necessary);
  • bus, train, ferry trip and domestic flight (if necessary);
  • accommodations in two-, three- or four-star hotels, double occupancy;
  • all breakfasts and some evening meals (excluding all beverages, alcoholic or not);
  • baggage transportation (one bag per person, 15-kg maximum);
  • mechanical assistance and access to a relief vehicle;
  • daily route plans;
  • the presence of one or two experienced guides.

The prices include taxes and the $3.50 contribution per $1,000 of services purchased to the Compensation Fund for Customers of Travel Agents.

Equipment (e.g., bicycle) is not included.
