Cycling Holidays in Italian Switzerland - Bike Tours and Cycling Trips in Switzerland
Italian Switzerland
N E W Come bask in the beauty of the "cycling paradise" of Ticino. Ticino is the only Swiss canton that lies entirely south of the Alps and in which Italian is the sole official language. The proposed route takes you through a valley on the edge of the Ticino Alps and along the northern (and more serene) shores of Lake Maggiore, Lake Como and Lake Garda. Feast your eyes on the landscape (with its majestic mountains and palm trees galore) and your taste buds on the local bounty. The delectable cuisine draws its inspiration from centuries of pre-Alpine and Lombard culture and tradition. The result is a multitude of dining destinations, from cosy, intimate grottoes to upscale, top-rated restaurants.
