Are your kids into biking? Treat them to an unforgettable experience: The Breakaway - an action-packed cycling camp! One week on the road in Quebec, along the majestic St. Lawrence from La Pocatière to Bic National Park, or in Ontario, through the treasure-filled corridor of the picturesque Thousand Islands. The ultimate in bicycle tourism! On the program: what all young cyclists need to know – baggage transportation, map reading, mechanics, road safety and nutrition – and lots of recreational activities. Meals, snacks, bottled water and close supervision included.

The package includes:

- 5 nights in the dormitories of various educational institutions and establishments;
- all meals, snacks and bottled water;
- bus trip between Brockville and Belleville;
- various activities throughout the week.

From 20 to 24 cyclists, a full-time bicycle escort as well as a guide and also another guide.

Start/Finish: Brockville/Cardinal.
Transportation between Montréal and Brockville (about 2 hours and half by car) is not included.
 



From day to day


Day 1 - Arrival in Brockville. At 10 am, bus trip to Belleville. Workshop and biking.
Day 2 - Belleville, West Lake (50 km).
Day 3 - West Lake, Kingston (75 km).
Day 4 - Looped route through Wolfe Island (25 km).
Day 5 - Kingston, Gananoque (35 km). Bus trip to Brockville.
Day 6 - Brockville, Cardinal (34 or 45 km). Arrival around 3 pm.

The full-comfort packages include:
  • air transportation for passengers and their bicycles (if necessary);
  • bus, train, ferry trip and domestic flight (if necessary);
  • accommodations in two-, three- or four-star hotels, double occupancy;
  • all breakfasts and some evening meals (excluding all beverages, alcoholic or not);
  • baggage transportation (one bag per person, 15-kg maximum);
  • mechanical assistance and access to a relief vehicle;
  • daily route plans;
  • the presence of one or two experienced guides.

The prices include taxes and the $3.50 contribution per $1,000 of services purchased to the Compensation Fund for Customers of Travel Agents.

Equipment (e.g., bicycle) is not included.
